Feb 23, 2010

This event was originally scheduled for 2009 but was suspended due to travel restrictions imposed by the Chinese government as a consequence of H1N1 virus

At last, Barcelona will host the first Sino-European Freight Forwarders Conference, originally planned for October of last year but suspended due to the travel restrictions imposed by the Chinese government because of the H1N1 virus. The expectations for this event, organized by WCA Family of Logistic Networks and the China International Freight Forwarders Association, are considerable, with 500 cargo transportation and logistics agents from all over the world (approximately 200 of them from China) estimated to attend.

The Sino-European Freight Forwarders Conference 2010, co-sponsored by the Port of Barcelona (with the special cooperation of ATEIA-OLT, Barcelona Freight Forwarders Association/Organization for Logistics and Transport) and the China Ministry of Transportation, will be held at Barcelona’s World Trade Center and will be the cargo transportation industry’s top gathering of the year in Europe.

Networking amongst cargo agents and operators will be the primary purpose of the Sino-European Conference. In addition, the meeting will include panel discussions on the current state of the international cargo transportation industry. The general meeting of WCA Family of Logistic Networks, one of the most important worldwide transportation networks, will also be held concurrently in Barcelona.

The Sino-European Conference in Barcelona is the European version of the Sino-International Conference held annually in China, one of the principal worldwide events of this type.
